UET Lahore organized an Anti-Narcotics awareness walk on â€œSay No to Drugsâ€. DSP Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad, SP Mr. Afzal, and SHO Mr. Ahmad participated as chief guests. Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid welcomed the guests. Registrar Muhammad Asif, Director of Student Affairs prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, Public Relations Officer Ali Ashraf, Chairperson Architect Department Prof. Dr. Naleem Naz, other faculty members and a large number of students also participated in the walk.
Talking to the students Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, “Drug addiction in our youth is a serious issue. Drug addiction is harmful not only for addicted but also for society. Long-term use of drugs causes permanent and harmful effects on the body and mind. Addiction of narcotics must be eradicated from its roots to safeguard the youth and prosperity of Pakistan.â€
He emphasized the causes and effects of drug abuse and said there should be an awareness of the dangerous effects of narcotics in the youth of Pakistan. At the end of the walk, Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid presented souvenir to honorable guests
