Lahore ( ) To show the solidarity with Kashmiri brothers and sisters University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organized a solidarity walk in campus lead by Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Aziz Akbar. A photographic exhibition was also arranged to highlight the brutalities of Indian armed forces in Indian-Held Kashmir. â€œThis exhibition has been organized to focus and highlight the Kashmir issue and human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir,â€ said Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Aziz Akbar. He highlighted the importance of Kashmir and how it has been occupied by Indian forces illegally. He said, â€œtill today, Indian held Kashmir has been the victim of Indian oppression. Thousands of innocent Kashmiris have been martyred by the Indian forces.â€ â€œKashmir is a core issue of contention between Pakistan and India which must be resolved for the sake of peace and stability in the regionâ€ he added. He emphasized to empower the Kashmiris with the right of determination in the light of UN resolutions. He also said, â€œSacrifices of Kashmiris will never be wasted, and we support the peaceful struggle of the people for this cause.â€ Along with Vice Chancellor, Deans, Faculty members, officers and a large number of students participated by displaying banners and placards in the walk.
