University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore successfully organized Pakistan’s biggest engineering career counseling event “Open Day”. Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid inaugurated the event. The event provided information about more than 22 undergraduate programs under seven differentiate faculties at UET main and satellite campuses, eligibility criteria, admission procedure, scholarships and fee concession. More than fifteen thousand candidates from all across Punjab attended the event.

Talking about event Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, “Proper career counselling plays a vital role in professional growth and progress of individuals. The events like “Open day” enable students to know about their potential, aptitude and proves very helpful in planning their carrier”. Special stalls from UET kala Shah Kaku, Narowal, Rachna and Faisalabad campuses were also held. Students show their keen interest in knowing last year merit of different engineering disciplines.

While talking to the participants Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said “the future of Pakistan depends on the challenging field of engineering and efforts are being made to improve and expand this sector of progress.” He added, “UET is upgrading the academic and administrative departments to fulfill the dreams of youth so that technical education would be made easier and beneficially. Admission process for different programs is entirely based on transparent merit policy only to strengthen the institution. Besides this, varsity is contributing for prosperity of the country by participating in different programs which needs the attention of youth”.

Vice Chancellor said, “Student facilitation is top most priority of university administration and we will keep facilitating our current and potential students in every possible way”. Considering the event successful Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid appreciated the efforts of Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, Dr. Naveed Ramazan, Open Day Committee members and other administration for organizing wonderful event with excellent arrangements.
