Seminar on “CV writing & Interview skills” held at UET

Career Counseling Office, University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore organized a seminar on “CV writing & Interview Skills”. The main objective of this seminar was to help graduate and undergrads job seekers to learn and apply the tactics, techniques necessary for a successful professional interview. Mr. Zafar Saeed renowned corporate sales trainers and motivational speaker of Pakistan was the guest speaker of the event while, Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Career Counseling Officer Dr. Rabia, Alumni Officer Mr. Zain, Public Relations Officer Mr. Ali Ashraf senior faculty members and students also attended the session.
Talking to the participants of the seminar, an expert said, “your CV will be your personal companion until you have secured the job that you seek and its importance cannot be overstated. Whereas, Interview is a skill that can be learned. Practice for some specific questions can make any interview easy. Through this type of session, students get self-confidence and learn how to maximize abilities to convert a job interview into a job offer.”
“Your CV is the first chance you get to make a good impression on a potential employer. In the competitive job market, employers and recruitment consultants are becoming increasingly intolerant toward badly constructed employment applications and CVs. With many employers, the decision to interview or reject a candidate is purely made on the strength of the CV.” He added.
He highlighted different aspects of the interview. He added, “Be confident at the time of your interview and make yourself professional even it is your first interview.” Career counseling office arranges these interactive sessions on every Wednesday to help in determining a true student potential, clear doubts, support and motivation and in selecting a career option that determines your course of life. At the end of session Vice Chancellor, UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid presented the souvenir to Mr. Zafar Saeed.
