Career Counseling Office, University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore organized a seminar on “Personality, Development & Dressing”. The main objective of this seminar was to enhance the tactics and techniques of final year students for a successful professional career. Mr. Hamid Saeed an Alumni of UET and a renowned image consultant and wardrobe scientist was the guest speaker of the event while, Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Career Counseling Officer Dr. Rabia, Alumni Officer Mr. Zain, Public Relations Officer Mr. Ali Ashraf senior faculty members and students also attended the session.

Talking to the participants of the seminar, an expert said, “Dressing in proper professional attire is important for every professional.”

One’s appearance invariably becomes the window through which the world looks at them. Interestingly, it may occasionally also become the deciding factor for prospects at work. Appearance has such a huge role to play in so many areas of a person’s life, including boosting self-confidence.

He also said, “your dressing not only adds to your presentation but also contributes to your behavior, therefore, defines your body language. When you look confident and approachable, you become more confident and approachable. It is something that extends to all areas of your life since your clothes are a large part of who you are as a person. It not only makes you feel good but can also largely influence your interaction with people.

Through this type of session, students get self-confidence and learn how to maximize abilities to convert a job interview into a job offer. Career counseling office arranges these interactive sessions on every Wednesday to help in determining a true student potential, clear doubts, support and motivation and in selecting a career option that determines your course of life. At the end of session Vice Chancellor, UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid presented the souvenir to Mr. Hamid Saeed.
