University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore kicked off tree plantation campaign. In this regard different office bearers took part in plant driven campaign. Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr .Fazal Ahmad Khalid inaugurated the campaign by planting a tree. Director Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS) Dr. Waqar, Divisional Forest Officer Punjab Forest Department Saleem Malik and Electrical Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Sohail Aftab took part in the campaign by planting the trees by their names. The purpose of this campaign was to provide the students a healthy and clean environment by making the campus green.

Vice-Chancellor UET Prof. Dr .Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, “Plantation should not be taken as tradition but it should be considered as national and moral obligations”. He emphasized to promote the forestation for keeping environment clean and pleasant. He urged faculty members and students to ensure conservation of each tree they plant. Tree plantation campaign has also been launched in sub campuses of UET. In this regard Kala Shah Kaku campus will plant the trees on the occasion of Independence Day on 14 Aug, 2018.
