University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organized Alumni Reunion 2020 at UET Football Ground. Vice-Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar chaired the reunion Ceremony while CEO LESCO Mujahid Pervaz Chattah, Chairman PHEC Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Vice Chancellor Lahore Garrison University Major General (R) Obaid Bin Zakria, Vice-Chancellor University of Gujrat Prof. Dr. Shabbar Atiq, at least 100 CEOs of private sector industries, about 650 Alumnus of UET from different sessions and government departments including WAPDA, LDA, Architecture, Engineering Firms, and Town Planning attended the event.
Notable Alumnus of UET from session 1946 Ch. Nazar Muhammad retired from the Ministry of Irrigation graced the event with his presence. He shared his past memories and said reunions are a fantastic way of meeting up with old friends and reminiscing about the days at University.
Addressing the ceremony Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar said that UET is flourishing day by day with state-of-the-art laboratories and infrastructure development for practical work of their students. He said that It is a matter of great honor for university and its students that our graduates have been contributing to the development of Pakistan in all engineering sectors through their unique ideas, skills, and talent. He further said that the idea behind alumni reunion was to connect the old students with UET for getting benefits from their knowledge, experiences, expertise in the up-gradation of curriculum, labs, and techniques to compete for the other institutes. He said that the youth must follow the footprints of the success stories of the UET legends for the multiple growths of Pakistan in all sectors. The event was comprised of Drama and musical performances. At the end of the event Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar presented souvenirs to honorable guests and contributor Alumnus for supporting UET.
