UET celebrates International Teachers Day

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore celebrated Teachers Day to join the world community in commemoration of the International Teacher’s Day at Main Auditorium Hall. In this regard, different ceremonies were held to pay tribute to all the teachers for their dedicated and committed efforts. Students shared their respectable sentiments for their teachers.
Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid highly appreciated the students’ gesture of honoring their teachers. He expressed that such initiatives of students’ engagement will definitely send a positive message to the outside community in line with the vision of the University leadership. Registrar Muhammad Asif, Director Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, Director KICS Dr. Waqar Mahmood, Dr. Ghulam Abbas Anjum, Dr. Sohail Aftab Qureshi, Dr. Abdul Sattar Shakir, Public Relations Officer Ali Ashraf, Deans and other faculty members, Teachers and a large number of students attended the ceremony.
UET music society shared their feelings while performing national songs. Whereas, UET literary society paid tribute to teachers by presenting special poems.
While talking to the participants Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, “I am indeed very happy to be with you today. I understand that Teachers Day celebrations held all over the country to honor all teachers, and to express your nation’s gratitude to them for their dedicated service to the nation. Teachers Day is the ideal way of telling teachers that we are thankful for their presence in our society.”
Teacher day celebration was organized in collaboration with Industrial & Manufacturing Engineers’ Club (IMEC) lead by Dr. Pervaiz Mughal and faculty and students were mainly involved in organizing this event. At the end of ceremony students presented card and flowers to worthy Vice Chancellor and teachers.
