UET Celebrates World Peace Day

University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore organized special Peace Walk and awareness Seminar in the context of celebrating World Peace Day. Senior Journalist Najam Ali Khan and Anchor Person Mariam Farhan participated as guest of honor. Peace walk was organized from Vice Chancellor Office to Institute of Business and Management (IB&M). A large number of students, faculty members, and staff participated in the walk. Director Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, Registrar Muhammad Asif, Dr. Neelum Naz, Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shakir, Public Relation Officer Ali Ashraf chairpersons from various departments were also present at the event.
While addressing to the participants of seminar Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said that students should have to play a key role in promoting peace. He hoped that the UET students would demonstrate peace, Harmony, Tolerance, and Nationalism. He further said “UET has more than 500 foreign students studying in various departments. University has never faced any unpleasant incident which is a proof of mutual tolerance of UET students.”
Walk participants said, “Pakistan will continue to play its positive role, and no sacrifice will be avoided in this regard.” At the end of event Vice Chancellor, UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid presented the souvenir to guests
