University of Engineering & Technology Lahore organized Tree Plantation drive under the Prime Minister’s vision of Clean and Green Pakistan. In this regard, many plants had been planted in the University Campus. Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Aziz Akbar inaugurated the campaign by planting a tree. The purpose of this plantation drive was to provide the students with a healthy and clean environment by making the campus green. Dean Faculty of Civil Engineering Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shakir, Dean Faculty of Chemical Engineering Prof. Dr. Nadeem Feroz, Registrar Muhammad Asif, Director Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood Directorate of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, Chairman Chemical Engineering Prof. Dr. Naveed Ramzan and Chairman Electrical Engineering Department KSK Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran also participated in this campaign by planting different plants. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aziz Akbar said, “Plantation should not be taken as tradition, but it should be considered as national and moral obligations”. He emphasized to promote the forestation for keeping the environment clean and pleasant. He urged faculty members and students to ensure the conservation of each tree they plant.
